Do you remember Allison in 2001?

Here are some pictures I found of the flooding caused by Tropical Storm Allison. It hit Houston, Texas, in June 2001. This is just a reminder of what can happen when Houston experiences a bad storm.

(Here is a picture of Highway 59 right near the Mandel Bridge near the Montrose/Shepperd area. I lived about 2 blocks from here in 2001. I witnessed this first hand. They highway was covered in 15 feet of water!)

(Here is Buffalo Bayou and White Oak Bayou flooding Main Street in Downtown Houston.)

So, these pictures are just a reminder of what can happen in Houston when it rains too damn much! So, please be prepared!

Watching the coverage on Galveston Island, WOW the water is already going over the seawall. Husband's family in LC are staying even after his parents, who are also staying in H-town, offered their home. Keeping a close watch...

Thanks for the prayers.
