Jude had open house at his school last night. His teacher created a scavenger hunt for the parents. We had to locate Jude's seat in the classroom, figure out which drawing on the bulletin board was his, and figure out which writing assignment was also his. It was really easy to locate all of the items, especially his writing assignment. His read:
"I live with my mom and my dad and my ant is Jooich. I like to woch tv. Who am I?"
(Since he's only in the first grade, his teacher allows phonetic spelling. Jooich = Jewish.)
I'm a 4 foot 10 inch asthmatic Hispanic momma now living in Japan. ****But was evacuated after the March 11th earthquake and currently homeless in Texas!***The State Department allowed us to return to Japan on April 14th, so I'm back in Japan, where I belong!
People seem to find my mishaps entertaining, so thus the blog begins. And, I have been encouraged to start a blog so people can keep up with us in Japan. I have had this creative bug in my ear telling me to do this for a while, but I could never bring myself to do it. By starting a blog, I feel like I'm going to the beach in a thong for the first time without a bikini wax! It is kind of scary to lay it all out there for the world to see and to judge.
My world is filled with hilarious moments that I can't wait to share. I hope you enjoy what I have to say and can laugh with me on a regular basis. After all, we could all use a little laughter in this God forsaken world.
